Aquardens water park, located near Verona, offers a captivating blend of natural beauty and luxurious relaxation. It is considered one of the largest thermal parks in Europe, attracting visitors with its vast array of pools, saunas, and wellness treatments. Unlike typical water parks that focus on thrilling rides and attractions, Aquardens provides a serene environment centered on the healing properties of its thermal waters.
At the heart of Aquardens is its thermal water, naturally enriched with minerals like bromine and iodine. These minerals offer therapeutic benefits, making it a popular destination for those seeking both relaxation and health improvements. The pools range in temperature and style, some designed for peaceful soaking, others for water massages or hot stone therapy. Visitors often praise the sense of rejuvenation they feel after spending a few hours immersed in the water.
Relaxation beyond the pools
Aquardens extends beyond its thermal baths. The park offers various spa and wellness treatments, including massages, facials, and specialized therapies. The sauna village within the park provides different types of heat-based treatments, including Finnish saunas, bio saunas, and steam rooms. Each offers a unique experience, from high-temperature detoxification to gentler forms of relaxation. Visitors can follow a journey that combines all these elements for a full wellness experience.
Aquardens also caters to families. While the thermal waters may attract adults looking for a calm escape, children can enjoy their own dedicated areas with water games and slides. The park maintains a balance between wellness and fun, ensuring visitors of all ages find something enjoyable. The family areas blend seamlessly with the overall peaceful atmosphere, offering a calm but enjoyable environment for everyone.
My experience with Aquardens
During my visit to Aquardens in October 2024, I chose to go at night when it felt quieter and more serene. The park closes at 11 p.m. on most days, but on Saturdays, it stays open until 1 a.m., offering extra time to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. I found the late hours perfect for a calm, relaxing experience without the usual daytime crowds.
What I enjoyed most was combining cold water swims with the warmer thermal baths. The transition from the refreshing cold to the soothing warmth heightened the experience for me. The contrast made each dip feel more invigorating, and I kept alternating between the two, appreciating how they worked together to refresh and relax my body.
In the weekends the park closes at 1AM and visitors can dance in the pools. I joined them and it was indeed an exciting experience.
The extraordinary atmosphere
The atmosphere at Aquardens is extraordinary, especially at night. The outdoor pools surrounded by thermal pools under the open sky felt almost magical. It was a unique blend of natural beauty and well-thought-out design.
The artificial grottos, eerily lit with soft lighting, created a mysterious and calming environment. Soaking in the hot water of these grottos, with their stone walls and gentle lighting, added a surreal element to the experience.
